Zooey Deschanel praises ex Jacob Pechenik as ‘great dad’

Zooey Dechanel has spoken of how “amazing” she is working with ex-husband Jacob Pechenik.

The New Girl The actress recently opened up about the relationship between her fiancé, Jonathan Scott, and ex-partner Jacob Pechenik during the Dec. 16 episode of Call her Dad.

Zooey, who shares daughter Elsie, 10, and eight-year-old son Jacob, said her relationship with her children’s father is “amazing,” noting, “Because my children’s father is a great father.”

The 45-year-old actress also revealed that she even shared a group chat with Jonathan and Jacob.

“I always want to support him as a parent,” said Zooey, who married Jacon in 2015 and split in 2020.

The proud mom continued, “My kids grow up knowing that we all take care of each other. We hang out and go on vacations together. We’ve been through a lot.”

The incident The star added the key factors that helped Zooey and Jacon maintain a healthy working relationship after their divorce.

“You have to let go of any anger you might feel,” she admits. “I know that sounds difficult, but it’s really easy. The most important thing is that the children are happy and growing.”

She added. “I respect his opinion and his views on parenting, it’s not always the same as mine, but he respects mine.”
