Amy Scrumer complains about rumors about cleaning up social media.
The comedian recently addressed the speculation that she deleted her previous Instagram photos to hide her pre-weight gain, explaining that the truth has nothing to do with how she looks.
“Hey did the media delete my old photos because they prevented me from losing weight,” she wrote in an Inn Instagram fan post on November 12. That’s a story you made up.
The 44-year-old, who shares a 6-year history of dementia with her husband Chris Fischer, said the focus has never been on numbers.
“I’ve been working on being pain free and I’m finally going to be there,” she said.

Earlier this year, Schumer revealed that she had been diagnosed with dinner sky syndrome, a condition that occurs when the body produces too much cortisol.
The actor emphasized that her latest change was not the result of a plan to lose.
“It’s a mistake not to go slowly on the weight loss journey,” she said. “That’s good to go. But my focus has been on health. I’m sure my weight is always changing.”
As she deleted it on her page, Scrumer said it was simply an act of personal expression.
“Your Instagram isn’t your identity, it’s an expression of what you want the world to see,” she explained. “And I feel great, strong and beautiful and I’m happy to share that.”
