After performing impossible missions, Tom Cruise picks up a shovel and dances as shown in the first teaser for his upcoming movie Digger.
Although the clip is short, it is enough to excite the fans of the megastar as he revealed the title of the film directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu on social media.
Along with helming, the filmmaker also co-wrote the next film, which can be billed as “Comedy of Catastrophic Proportions.”
Tom stars in the lead role, Digger Rockwell, alongside Sandra Huller, Riz Ahmed, Jesse Plemons, Michael Stuhlbarg, John Goodman, Emma D’Arcy, and Sophie Wilde.
Previously, Alejandro in Cannes presented an opinion about “brutal comedy,” saying, “All I can say is brutal, wild comedy of tragic proportions. It’s crazy. It’s scary and funny and beautiful. I know comedy is not what people expect from me, or Tom, and making this film was scary for me.”
He continued, “But I don’t like to repeat myself, and every movie has to scare you a little bit. I felt Birdman was a comedy, a dark comedy, and this was difficult.
Its logline reads, “The most powerful man in the world races to prove he can save humanity before he destroys everything he destroys.”
First digs in cinemas on October 2, 2026.
