More insight into what fans should look for in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new Netflix project Wedding Date has finally come to light.
The project will be adapted from the novel, which was a New York Times bestseller, and is part of a “multi-year, first-look deal.”
Jasmine Guillory’s original book goes by the same name and originally came out in 2018. The couple will also help producer Tracy Ryerson on the project as they try to bring this to life.
at the end claims The Wedding Date is “an elevator pitch where a professional political strategist leads you to pretend to be a stranger’s wedding date.”
It is worth noting that this project is the next in a series of projects that the Sussexes have already done under the Archewell brand. From Polo, to Love, Meghan, Heart of Invictus, and even their famous Harry & Meghan documentaries.
Social media was also abuzz when the news first hit social media, but the reaction was normal. While some are excited, others can be seen questioning the end result with words such as “Good luck with that. I can’t wait to hear what Harry and his manager know about the production.”
Those rooting for them focused on the light-hearted nature of the project and added “I love that they’re making it happy, slice of life and warm-hearted. Goodness knows we need it right now.”
