Olivia Rodrigo names special album she always turns to for inspiration

Olivia Rodrigo was listening to a special record when inspiration struck.

Rodrigo talked about the record when he appeared on the Rock and Roll Podcast The music brought us together.

guest Kathleen Hannah, 57, asked GUTS HitMaker If there’s an album to listen to when you “need to reconnect with yourself.”

“Honestly, I listen [Alanis Morissette’s] A small tablet When I’m feeling, like, I don’t know what to say or be like, I reply, “because, as part of what makes a human being human, it feels like it’s off that record.”

Rodrigo added “A lot of anger and in spite of it, but also, but also a lot of joy and hope, and they all drive each other in a beautiful way.”

“I love that album that everyone on the planet does but I just think about it, it reminds me of what I’m trying to follow,” she added.

Eh Deja vu For the singer, what makes Moursette’s 1995 record is “herself and let it all go.”

“As a writer it’s always the most inspiring when you just feel like you’re the only person who needs to say something,” said Rodrigo. “They don’t just write a song to make it big or to impress people.”

She noted that the album is like a songstress’ “best diary.”
