Idris Elba is “honoured” to have his work at Madame Tussauds.
The award-winning actor is the latest star to grace the red carpet at London’s fashion museum.
From Friday he joined the ranks of famous stars of the stamp paintings, including actress Gillian Anderson, actress Timotee Chalamet, and pop stars Lady Gaga, and Harry Styles, in the Baker Street Awards area.
Idris said: “It’s really an honor to be recognized like that, even more special to know that another version of me will be in London for a long time. So, even when I’m away, a part of me is always at home.”
The Kidnapping The waxwork of the legend – which took the expert artists of Madame Tussauds London several years to create – donated a long-sleeved version of blue Winston.
It was planned for Idris when he met King Charles, during an event on tackling violent youth crime in July 2024.
He added: “The process was fascinating. It’s not the same as preparing for a film role – working with talented artists to bring out the character, finding the right clothes, but this time it’s me!”
“It’s really true to see another version of me standing in Madame Tussauds London, it feels like a full circle moment,” Idris Elba concluded.
