Long-time Bondi resident Hugh Jackman has remained silent on the devastating attack.
On Sunday, the terrorist shooting took place in Archer Park near Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, during the Hanukkah celebration.
Talking to him Fox 5 DC, The Wolverine star expressed his dismay at the news.
He said, “It’s just too bad. It’s so close to my house.”
Jackman went on to add, “This is something we see all over the world. My heart is broken.”
“I feel especially for those families, those who were so closely affected and the community because it’s my community,” he said. “I went to bed reading about Brown University and woke up reading about Bondi. I just feel heartbroken.”
It is worth noting that Hugh Jackman, famous for his role in Wolverine – the last Deadpool & Wolverinehas been a long time resident of Bondi Beach. The actor also has an apartment near Icebergs.
This terrifying attack happened when two armed men, named Naveed Akram and his father Sajid Akram, stood on the footbridge of the road and opened fire on the residents, vacationers and families. While Naveed is still in the hospital under police guard, his father Sajid is shot dead.
