Harrison Ford is to receive a lifetime achievement award from SAG-AFTRA in March!
This is in recognition of his six-year long career and the global impact he has made on TV.
Sean Astin, president of the organization, praised Ford as “a singular presence in American life; an actor whose famous characters shaped world culture.”
He added: “We are honored to celebrate a legend whose impact on the craft has been indelible.”
The 83-year-old star will accept the Lifetime Achievement Award on March 1 at the 32nd Annual Actor Awards, presented by the Screen Actors Guild of America for Television and Radio Artists.
Ford has many iconic roles and became an international star as Han Solo in 1977 star wars, having reprized the role several times as the first film became a commercial.
As the swashbuckling archaeologist Indiana Jones, he started another company in 1981 Raiders of the Lost Ark. And he starred in two Blade Runner films as Rick Deckard, along with a full complement of television roles.
Over the years, Ford has earned many awards, including the Critics Choice Career Award (2024), the Golden Globes Cecil B DeMille Award (2002), the AFI Life Achievement Award (2000) and more.
Expressing his gratitude, Harrison Ford said: “I am very honored to be selected as this year’s recipient of the SAG-AFTRA Lifetime Achievement Award.
