Gerry Turner was recently devastated the moment he found out that his late wife, Toni, “didn’t want anyone” to know about her medical diagnosis.
The 74-year-old television personality published a book he wrote, Golden Years: What I Learned From Love, Loss, November 4, 2025.
In the book, Gerry revealed that his wife Toni had a bacterial infection in 2017 and after his death, he “went through the summer and” was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
He wrote, “”he fell on the back of the bathroom ceiling, a clear sign that he didn’t want anyone to reveal what was in there, I found evidence that he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.”
“There was literature, prescriptions, blood glucose meters, and other supplies – apparently tangible and unused. The gold medallion A star is detailed.
Notably, the discovery was born of countless questions in his mind and he was left to leave the “what-ifs.”
“Planes that are not treated or not treated in the body are hard on the body, especially those kidneys that have led to something important about something wrong. But to think that it is everything that is possible, regardless of how far, as they lived. Long time or still alive today, it is even painful,” he said.
Gerry admits that in the “Saddest” episode about Toni’s submission that she “feels safe enough to tell anyone the truth about her.”
