Dick Van Dyke’s wife reveals how Rob Reiner’s death deeply affected her husband

The death of Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle Reiner had a big impact on actor Dick Van Dyke.

On Monday, yes Mary Poppins The actor’s wife, Arlene Silver, took to Instagram to reveal that her husband “didn’t sleep” the night his friends Rob and Michele found no response at their home in LA.

“We spoke to Rob two weeks ago on the phone,” the makeup artist said with an emotional look.

“I have so many messages from Dick’s birthday, it will take me weeks to go through them all, Michele and Rob’s are among those messages,” she continued.

Arlene reveals that Dick Van and Rob have known each other for decades.

“Dick has known Rob since he was little,” said Arlene. “Rob and Carl were the first people I ever met Dick.”

“Rob and Michele have always been together, just like Dick and I,” she continued. “I always felt part of the Reiner family, they always treated me like part of their family.

“This is unbelievable… we feel terrible for his family. His wonderful family,” added Dick Van’s wife.

For those who don’t know, Rob and Michele were found dead in their home in LA on December 14. The couple’s son, Nick, is currently in police custody on suspicion of murdering his parents.

Speaking of the shocking arrest, Arlene said, “It’s horrible, and you know they did everything to that kid too.”

“I’ve never met him, but I’ve met his other kids. And they love their kids,” she added, referring to Rob and Michele’s children Jake and Romy.
