Sylvester Stallone has two big commercial names Rocky and Rambo. But like his colleagues, he too, faced a low point in his career.
It was so bad that the actor recalls that he was “ruining” at the time because he endured several bureaucratic hiccups.
“It was more than a drought. It was about eight years of a spider’s web of telephones,” said the actor. CBS Morning.
However, his career changed when he returned with Rocky Balboa in 2006. It was a hit that enabled him to go through several roles.
But that wasn’t the only factor that hurt his career. There was another night, a star-studded one, when his best role as a boxing champion won not one but three Academy Awards, including Best Picture in 1977.
Yet it was one of the saddest days of his life. “I mean, it was a volcanic moment, and then it was sad,” Sylvester said, adding that his parents did not attend the ceremony.
“You want people you love who rejected you, now you’re here, you’re at the Oscars, and they don’t want to go,” he noted.
“You realize that, at that moment, you’re never going to come up with this. And it’s like, what more do you need? Really, what the f**** more do you need to do to say, ‘I’m here,'” Sylvester concluded.
