Gil Gerard, best known for playing the titular hero in the 1979-81 hit TV series Buck Rogershe died. He was 82.
Veteran wife Janet Gerard announced the death of her beloved husband on social media.
“Early morning Gil – my friend – lost his battle with a rare and rare form of cancer,” Janet wrote on Facebook alongside a photo of her and Eat Bones actor.
She continued, “From the time we knew something was wrong to his death this morning it was only days.”
“No matter how many years I spent with him it would never be enough. Hold on to the ones you have and love them,” added Janet.
Later, Janet also posted her latest message on social media.
“My life has been an amazing journey. The opportunities I have had, the people I have met and the love I have given and received have made my 82 years in the world very satisfying,” the message said.
“My journey has taken me from Arkansas to New York to Los Angeles, and finally, my home in North Georgia with my wonderful wife, Janet, of 18 years. It’s been a great journey, but not necessarily a close one in my opinion.”
Born in January 1943, Gil was last seen in the 2016 film The Rise of Power: Revenge Series.
