David Burtka offers insights into his ‘quiet’ Christmas plans

David Burtka revealed that this year’s holiday season will be all about relaxation, family time, and keeping things low-key.

Talking to him PEOPLE Magazine to 24 Hour Game GalaThe actor shared that after the busy schedule, he is looking forward to a quiet Christmas spent with loved ones.

“It’s been wild,” Burtka admits, reflecting on how things have been going lately.

He explained that both sides of the family would meet just before Christmas, making time for dinner together, exchanging gifts, and quality bonding.

“Both of our parents come into town right before Christmas. We have both of our families go out to dinner and we do presents, and all that,” he said.

After the festivities, Burtka and his family plan to head east to their home for the rest of the holiday season.

“Then we’ll go east to our place where we’ll spend just the two weeks off,” he added.

Burtka, who shares 15-year-old twins Harper Grace and Gideon Scott with partner Neil Patrick Harris, noted that the quiet time will be especially welcome when Harris wraps up his Broadway run in ART.

“Harris really wants to do nothing,” Burtka shared and concluded, “It’s going to be nice to do nothing and have a very quiet New Year’s Eve, just be together and cook.”
