Family insiders have revealed Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner’s true feelings for their son Nick, who is accused of murdering his parents.
Nick Reiner, 32, was arrested hours after the bodies of the 78-year-old actor-director and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, 70, were found in the upscale Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles on Sunday, amid reports that she had been stabbed or beheaded.
Hollywood expert Rob Shuter, citing a family insider, said that even the unimaginable face, Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner, would forgive their son Nick – “yes, even murder”.
“Would they forgive him?” family sources ask verbally. “One hundred percent. No question.”
The insider went on to say that forgiveness wasn’t something Rob and Michele talked about — it was something they “rehearsed, over and over again, through years of chaos, pain, and heartbreak.”
“They never stopped loving him,” the source told the expert. “They never believed that love comes with conditions.”
The close confidante continues, “They saw Nick as sick, not evil. They believed that understanding was the first step to healing.”
“If they were alive today,” a family insider whispers, “they would defend their son — and forgive him — like they always have.”
Nick Reiner has a history of substance abuse dating back to his teenage years, and even had an argument with his parents at a glamorous Hollywood party on Saturday night.
The American director and his wife were found dead in their home in southern California, according to the American media on Sunday.
