Tom Bergeron will return to Dancing with the Stars after five years of absence from the ballroom.
Long time guest, who was leading Abc A contestant on the show for 15 years and 28 seasons, he will return as a guest attorney for the upcoming 20th anniversary.

The Emmy-winning host’s return is surprising, given his abrupt and controversial departure in the 2020s. DWTswas fired shortly after he publicly criticized the show’s decision to fire former House press secretary Can Spicer in season 28.
He later revealed that despite signing a new multi-season contract, the producers were cut off after he refused to make political statements in the mix.
After his departure, Bergeron said in a statement that the producers “threw a curve” after promising to avoid violence, “we have to allow it.”
