Amy Dorden shared a health update, revealing that she is undergoing a second mastectomy this week during her battle with breast cancer.
The professional dancer, 35, who recently received an MBE from King Charles at Buckingham Palace, was diagnosed with the disease in May 2023.
She went through extensive treatment, including a mastectomy, chemotherapy, fertility treatments and at one point, she almost died of sepsis.

She wrote: ‘As you know I have always been very open about my health and the care I receive. So I would like to start by clarifying what I am about to share does not cure a new cancer diagnosis. ‘
However after a recent appointment with my wonderful medical team, we have decided to have another mastectomy this week. They are confident, everything is going well, I can expect a recovery in the direct sector. ‘
Amy concluded: ‘As soon as I recover I look forward to joining my strong family. Of course, I will miss not being there but I will be watching at home and I hope to make everyone happy. Thanks as always for all the support. Welsh love Amy XXX. ‘
Last month Amy opened up about the deep sadness she felt to ‘let go’ of another cancer consultant who was canceled after she and her celebrity partner, A student Star Thomas, became the first to vote for this series.
